Lindsay Young is a composer, songwriter, and Producer As well as an artist under the name Lindsay Ruth. young was awarded “Best Song” in the short film Blurred for the 48 Hour Film Project in 2021. She recently had one of her tracks chosen for ESPN's fifty-year celebration of Title IX, allowing women equal opportunity to play sports. This year, Young has composed for three short films and currently works as a composer for licensing and ad opportunities.

An advocate for mental health, her desire is to help tell stories that enlighten and embolden. Her haunting melodies and love of intimate vocals, soundscapes, and textures are inviting yet mysterious. Focusing on the muted hues and resisting the pull towards black and white, she hopes listeners feel peace and beauty in facing inescapable pain.
